Why You Need a Privacy Protector for your iPad
Hacking and data theft is a growing problem. Whether you’re a business or you own a number of personal computer devices, you’ll want to make sure your personal information and data is secured. Whilst you may have a number of security measures in place to prevent hacking and data-theft, there is often one very easy method of stealing one’s personal information that is often overlooked – prying eyes.

What’s the issue?

You’ve no-doubt seen commuters, travelling businessmen and women, and even families out-and-about using their mobile and tablet devices. Whether they’re catching up on a bit of work, or accessing personal information such as bank statements or emails, there’s a lot of information to be gained by any unscrupulous individual snooping over your shoulder.

Whilst the beauty of mobile devices like iPads enables us to access everything we need wherever we are, it does raise an issue about privacy of information. If there is one drawback of the on-the-move technology culture it is this; if you carry your iPad around with you all the time, whether at work or on a business trip, you will, at some point, have sensitive information on-show in a public place.

For example, this could be important business plans, sensitive emails, or personal information. Whilelst you might not be able to prevent nosey strangers from sitting next to you on the train, bus or plane, or standing next to you whilst you quickly finish off that important email, you can take preventative measures. This will ensure that they don’t see what you don’t want them to see.

What’s the solution?

A privacy screen. This will provide a screen black-out past 60 degrees in the line of site to your iPad. Simply put, anyone looking at your iPad beyond 60 degrees in any direction will only see a black screen. This will enable you to use your iPad in comfort, without the worry of a nosey neighbour or snooping stranger.

This is perfect if your company hasve issued iPads to employees, or if you’re an individual that likes, or needs, to access personal information when on-the-move. As mentioned, thanks to such mobile devices, it’s easier than ever to get what you need sorted when out-and-about; the drawback is that anyone in eye-shot of your iPad can see what you’re doing. But, with a privacy protector, this does not have to be the case.

Additionally, a privacy protector also acts as a standard screen protector for your iPad. This is very handy if you’re using yours on-the-go a lot, or if you have children who are prone to scratching and leaving sticky and mucky marks all over yours.

Use your iPad as normal, with extra privacy

Adding a privacy protector does not mean that you have to compromise on your iPad’s usability. Whilst a screen protector will prevent prying eyes see your screen beyond a 60 degree angle, you can still share information with friends and colleagues, just by changing the orientation of the device.

You don’t have to worry about the touch-screen functionality either, this is not lost; and neither is the clarity of your screen. Simply put, a privacy protector will only enhance your iPad’s security and not affect its normal functioning.

So, if you’re someone that wants to continue using their iPad when out-and-about, whether it’s for important business work, or private use; just think about who’s looking over your shoulder and what information they can get at your expense. Using a privacy protector will step-up your security efforts, enabling you to carry on using your iPad as intended.
